Modern Headboards For Beds: Two Models I Like

I looked for modern headboards for beds online and found two interesting models I liked: one is functional headboard with plain but serious look, and the other is simple but elegant.

What can I say about it? It looks good and solid. It is made for a platform bed, so will be ideal for those beds that sit low. What I really love about this headboard is that the additional storage just at your head – you can keep an alarm clock there or a couple of favorite books to read before you sleep.

Also you don’t have to buy a complete bed; you can easily attach this headboard to your existing bed, if it is of a full or queen size (not sure how it works with other bed sizes). It looks good in modern styled bedrooms, and teenagers also like it.

In case you don’t need a functional headboard but rather some plain but elegant modern wooden headboard, then consider South Shore Step One Collection Full / Queen 54/60-Inch Headboard, Black It costs only $79.99, and comes in queen and full sizes. Its material is just the same as in the previous model, and you also need someone to help you with putting it together. The shipping weight is 39 pounds, and its dimensions are 64.3 x 3 x 44 inches.

This one is among the best cheap modern headboards; it has a solid black finish, and proper geometric lines. It comes with 5 year warranty and is made in Canada.

If the headboard is attached to a wooden bed frame it sits fine, but my friend did it with a metal frame and he said that the headboard was not that tight and solid with it. Maybe it is not a common thing, just to mention. The finish is beautiful, and the style is pretty elegant. While the headboard is not among the sturdiest ones, it sits fine and is easy to fix if needed.

Follow the assembly instructions before you put this thing together; put a special attention to the screws. If you are not satisfied with how the headboard is attached to the frame, get some extra small L-brackets to enhance it.

As I said, if you are in search for modern headboards for beds, consider these two headboards: they are reasonably priced and look great.
